Hello All,

This year, we will be bringing back the All-State Closing Number, bigger and better, We are seeking applicants from any of your students who are going to festival. This Google Form should be submitted, by Wednesday November 27th, by anyone who would like to audition. There will be a preliminary Google Meet held on Monday, December 2nd at 7pm and students will then have until December 6th to upload their audition video (same deadline as Thespys).

Teaching Artists and Choreographer, Quae Simpson, will be making all casting decisions. Cast size will be approximately 20-25 persons. There will we virtual rehearsals before the festival and then up to 3 workshop sessions during the festival. (This will be a significant time commitment at festival, so please be sure your students are aware :)

Registration Update

• We are over halfway to festival registration capacity and some events are filling up.

• Please remember that once you click “Proceed to payment”, and either pay by credit card or indicate your intent to pay by check, you can still add things and generate a second invoice/payment, however, everything you have entered up to that point will be LOCKED. Nothing can be changed, canceled or refunded. You will be billed for everything registered at that point regardless of unforeseen circumstances.

• If you are looking for your invoice(s), use the drop-down menu under your account email address (top right) and click on "Your invoices".

Thespy Reminders

• Please double-check the eligibility of pieces using the Thespys website. We have had several submissions so far with ineligible publishers / titles.

• Reminder that students may do up to 2 thespys, but they should be different events. i.e. - Not two Solo Acting (but one Solo Acting and one Musical Theatre would be OK.)

• Please review all of the rules and formats in the Official Program Guide. Note that Solo Acting requires two monologues, both of which must be eligible.

• The link for digital Thespy submissions, via OpenWater, will be shared on or before the November 15th registration deadline.

JUNIOR Thespians

We are pleased to announce that registration will soon open for the JUNIOR Thespian Festival. Towson was not able to accommodate the extra day for a Junior Festival this year, but Bullis School has kindly offered to host us in their space on Saturday, February 8th.
